I started off playing the piano and banjo. Learning those at a younger age helped me in eventually picking up guitar, bass, and drums. I've played in groups ranging from Neil Young covers to more traditional jazz combos. More recent focus has been on the guitar, with emphasis on blues, country, jazz, and other contemporary styles. More importantly, I'm a big believer in learning an instrument the way YOU want to learn it. Regardless of the music that I learned to play, it is far more important to learn to play tunes you actually enjoy hearing.
