Band Instruments, Piano, and Voice

Matthew is a professional Trombonist for the United States Army National Guard right here in Phoenix, Arizona for the 108th Army Band. He has also served in the 36th ID band in Austin, Texas, the 23rd Army Band in South Jordan, Utah, and the 56th Army Band at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Matthew Is fluent in the French language, and he went to University at Université La Rochelle, La Rochelle, France. Matthew has taught French, and music in Utah, Texas, and Arizona. He has a strong passion for teaching music and French! He plays and teaches the guitar, the piano, dance, singing, all of the brass instruments, flute, and saxophone. Matthew is currently an elementary school music teacher in the Phoenix area (K-8). He also taught elementary school music for more than a decade; however, he has also taught junior high band, junior high orchestra, and high school band/ marching band all over Arizona, Texas, and Utah. Matthew also taught ballet to young learners. He has spent a lot of time in the Ukraine, France, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. Matthew is from bountiful Utah, and he graduated from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He also holds a trombone performance degree at the United States Armed Forces score the music in Norfolk, Virginia. He holds 2 masters degrees in education from the University of Phoenix. Matthew performed in a professional symphony orchestra, and performed with Christopher Cross and Brian Mitchel. Matthew also attended an entirely French speaking church congregation where he plays the piano and the organ. Matthew composes his own music, and choreographs his own shows for elementary school performances. Matthew also taught middle school at the Navajo Reservation in Monument Valley.
