Allison is a violinist and music educator based in the Phoenix area, where she currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Brophy/Xavier College Preparatory Orchestra. An active orchestral musician, Allison is contracted with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra in Flagstaff, AZ and the West Valley Symphony in Surprise, AZ.
As a chamber musician, Allison has recently appeared in masterclasses with Brooklyn Rider as a part of the Visiting Quartet Residency Program at Arizona State University. Before moving to Phoenix, Allison was a member of various chamber ensembles, most notably the Resonantia Quartet. As the inaugural quartet-in-residence at the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, the Resonantia Quartet developed a successful summer chamber music concert series designed to bring more diverse musical experiences to the Tallahassee community.
Some of her recent awards as a soloist include the 2017 and 2018 Tallahassee Music Guild Scholarship and the 2018 Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition.
Allison holds a Bachelor of Music Education (Choral) and a Performance Certificate in Violin from Florida State University. She also holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Arizona State University.
Her principal teachers have included Jonathan Swartz and Shannon Thomas.
