Carlos is a classically trained tenor and voice teacher originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice from Arizona State University and has performed with opera companies and orchestras throughout the United States and internationally.

While Carlos has a strong classical background, he loves working with singers in all kinds of styles, including musical theater, pop, rock, mariachi, and classical music. He has taught students of many different ages and experience levels, from complete beginners discovering their voices for the first time to advanced singers preparing for auditions and performances.

Carlos believes voice lessons should be encouraging, engaging, and tailored to each individual singer. His goal is to help students build a healthy vocal technique while developing confidence, musicianship, and their own unique sound.

We welcome Dr. Carlos back to Prestige Music Academy, as he is a returning instructor. He also currently is a Faculty Associate in the School of Music at Arizona State University.
