Ashlie's skills include being a diction coach, teaching singing lessons in all styles of music from musical theatre to opera, teaching piano, ukulele, meditation, singing bowls, monochord native flutes, as well as folk and native drumming, and improvisation. Ashlie enjoys getting to know her students and finding what works well to reach each individual in their musical journey.

Cory is a native of Crowley, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Music Education from Liberty University. He has served as a music director for various religious organizations in the Southwest Louisiana, Houston, and Hawaii regions. He has served as a counselor at many summer camps and loves working with children of all ages. He has taught general music, choir, and band to grades ranging from Kindergarten to High School for over seven years.

He now serves as a General Music and Piano Instructor at the Academy of Math and Science Desert Sky. One of Cory's reasons for teaching is experiencing the unforgettable moments when a student discovers their gift and abilities with their own voice or on the instrument of their choice. He enjoys teaching students that have an eagerness to learn and have fun.

Jalyn is an award-winning performer and recording artist, songwriter, and music producer. With fifteen years of experience teaching beginning and advanced piano, beginning and advanced voice, beginning guitar, and songwriting, Jalyn enjoys working with people of all ages: young kids, teens, and adults. Creating a space where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, growing, and taking pride is something she is very passionate about. We laugh a lot but get a lot done!

Jalyn loves figuring out what makes each student tick. She will find out what your goals are, along with your unique learning style, strengths, and weaknesses, and then customize a learning plan just for you! With a Master's degree in Music and a background in psychology and communication, Jalyn excels at teaching traditional and non-traditional students alike. Which includes people with learning disabilities and special needs, gifted and accelerated learners, self-taught musicians, tone-deaf singers, people who play other instruments or are advanced-level musicians, and older beginners.

Lindsey is originally from Libertyville, IL, but has lived in Phoenix, AZ since 2001. She has been involved in the theater community since 2001, and she attended the University of Arizona where she received her BA in History.

Lindsey returned to performing after getting her degree and starting her career in 2021 and has played roles such as Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda, Bea Bottom in Something Rotten, and Nancy in Oliver in local productions.

She loves working with students of all skill levels and focuses on the importance of breath in all aspects of vocal performance.

Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, and Online Instructor

Randy started his musical journey in 2005 when he began playing guitar. He has been teaching guitar and piano since 2022. He’s played in heavy metal and punk rock bands at bars/clubs as well as solo recitals for classical guitar. In 2020, he earned the Special Talent Award for Guitar at ASU: a special scholarship given to a student once per year. He graduated manga cum laude from ASU as a music therapy major in 2024.

Sandy has been teaching music lessons for 16 years, starting with guitar and shortly thereafter adding piano, voice, drums, and bass to her repertoire. She has much experience with public performance in college and church choirs, guitar ensembles, and city events.

Sandy enjoys songwriting and growing in her creativity. She raised five children and is comfortable working with students of all ages, including special needs. She is passionate yet patient and dedicated to the growth of others.

Sandy has degrees in both music and humanities.

Guitar and Online Instructor

Traz has been playing guitar since the age of 4 and has played in many bands in different genres for over a decade. He has also toured the U.S. and Europe in rock and metal bands. He was lucky enough to be able to study music at Musicians Institute as well as Berklee.

In 2020, Traz decided to get into teaching and discovered that he really enjoyed it and developed a passion for teaching guitar. He loves teaching music theory and songwriting in all kinds of styles, especially in the rock and metal genres, from simple rock to the extremely technical metal. His teaching philosophy is to make things more simplified and easier to understand and to help students grow and become better players quicker.
