Ryan is a proficient player in an impressive array of musical genres ranging from Bluegrass, Jazz, Blues, Country, and Progressive Metal to Gipsy and Western Swing. In college, he studied Bluegrass and Gipsy Jazz under the instruction of Joe Carr and Alan Munde in 1995-96. He has since remained in high demand for studio work and performance with Country music stars of yester-year like Rex Allen Jr., Buddy Owens, Lynn Anderson and Dusty Rogers, as well as numerous country and western show bands working the Arizona corporate scene.
Winning 1st place at Guitarmageddon, Guitar Center’s all-style national guitar showdown in 2001 spawned a flood of requests for private instruction. As a result, Ryan has become one of Phoenix Arizona’s top recommended guitar teachers. He currently teaches all skill level guitar classes in area Charter schools and 40+ private students each week.
