Rod Ferreira has been playing guitar for almost 20 years. He received a B.A. in Music from the University of North Dakota with guitar as his major instrument. He has performed and done recording work with bands of several styles since 2002.
For the past 10 years Rod has been teaching guitar in addition to his performing. His experience, enthusiasm and love of music inspires his students. Using his knowledge and teaching experience, Rod has written 2 volumes of instructional books on guitar basics which lays out some of the finer introductory points in a systematic and easy-to-understand way. Rod is originally from Brazil. He is fluent in Portuquese and Spanish as well as English.
Rod teaches all styles of music from classical guitar to heavy metal to flamenco, to jazz and pop or country and folk. He also teaches bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. If it has strings, go ahead and bring it – Rod will teach you how to play it!
