Marcos Navarro has been a saxophonist and a student of all types of music for almost 15 years. His primary focus as a musician has been classical, but he also has a strong background in jazz studies and music theory. Marcos has played with various groups around Phoenix and surrounding areas, mostly jazz, but other genres not excluded. Currently, he is studying to be a public school music educator, with a focus on band directing. Marcos has helped beginning and intermediate players along their way with any musical goal they wished to accomplish, from learning a new instrument, to making it into a band, to even refreshing their knowledge of the horn. He also helped tutor students wanting to learn more about general music theory and jazz theory, as well as jazz improvisation, and sight reading.
