Kate Wismer Likness was born in South Dakota and received her Bachelor’s of Music Education from South Dakota State University. She completed her Master’s Degree is Musical Theater and Opera Performance from Arizona State University. Kate has appeared on stages throughout the valley, and she received an AriZoni nomination for her performance in Lyric Opera Theater’s Rocky Horror Show. She recently starred in Grey Gardens with Tempe Live! Theater as the elder Edith Bouvier Beale. Other shows at ASU include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Secret Garden, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Into the Woods. Kate lives in Tempe with her husband Jordan and likes to spend time reading, crafting and cooking.
