Trumpeter, pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and producer… Mr. Leyva keeps a busy schedule. Joseph has toured the U.S and Europe with many big name acts. His performance credits include: The Temptations, Tito Puente Jr., Al Green, Buddy Miles, Diana Ross, Phillip Walker, Doc Severinsen, John Faddis, James Moody, Ringling Bros. / Barnum and Bailey Circus, Curtis Fuller, Dennis Rowland (formerly with the Count Basie orchestra), Hip Hop artist Big Latin, country music star Lynn Anderson, California Music Circus, Disneyland Band, Commercial Music for EA Sports and Apple Computers. Royal Carribian, Norwegian & Carnival Cruise Lines, amongst many, many others. Joseph has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from UNLV and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Manhattan New School of Music.
He currently runs his own music publishing company Bebopper Music, and his own acclaimed performing group Orchestra Nueva.
As an active music educator, Joseph has been on faculty at both Scottsdale and Paradise Valley Community Colleges and has been teaching privately for 15 years.
