PMA Instructor: Jenny WaleczekPianist Jennifer Waleczek has dazzled audiences here and abroad with her sensitive, dynamic approach to the repertoire. She is active as a performer, collaborator and educator, and brings 15 years teaching experience to the studio. It is her belief that anyone with desire and dedication can learn to play the piano, and she carefully tailors her lessons to each student.  Dr. Waleczek has taught in her native Chicago, Glendale Community College, Arizona School for the Arts, and is currently a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), participates in the Arizona Study Program, and regularly adjudicates piano competitions in the Phoenix area.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Performance degree from Northwestern University, a Performance Certificate from the Prague Conservatoire, Czech Republic, and a Master’s of Music as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Arizona State University. She has given numerous recitals in the Chicago and Phoenix areas, Vienna, Prague and New York. She has performed with Northwestern’s Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Bang on a Can All-Stars featuring Meredith Monk, Crossing 32nd Street, and continues to perform regularly with the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble.  Dr. Waleczek has won top prizes in the ASU Concerto Competition, and has received numerous scholarships and awards throughout her studies.
