Cynthia Baker earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education and her Master’s degree in violin performance from Indiana University, where she studied violin and harp. She has been a member of the Phoenix and Grand Rapids Symphonies, and of the Sinfonia da Camera. Ms. Baker served as the 1st violinist with the Encore and Philharmonic String Quartets, and faculty trio member at Calvin College and Eastern Illinois University.
Ms. Baker has also been a soloist with Phoenix College and Eastern Illinois University Community Orchestras, the New Arts Chamber Orchestra, the Indiana Baroque Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony String Orchestra and Phoenix Chamber Players. Ms. Baker currently holds the position of Principle 2nd Violin in the Arizona Opera Orchestra, plays 1st violin with Quartet Sabaku (www.QuartetSabaku.com), and performs and records with the early music ensemble Musica Dolce.
