Lucas has been playing the cello since he was 7 years old. He got his degree in Cello Performance and a Certificate in Arts Administration from the Northwestern University Bienen School of Music. At Northwestern University, Lucas was also a cello instructor for Evanston Young Artists, an organization that provides free music lessons to low-income students. He is currently completing a Master of Music in Cello Performance at the Arizona State University Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. He is also the cellist in the Herberger String Quartet, the most prestigious string quartet at ASU, https://www.downtowntempe.com/do/herberger-string-quartet. 

Lucas's musical studies have taken him to various places around the world, and have given him the opportunity to study with a multitude of teachers and perform at a wide variety of venues. He is an avid performer and teacher, and he strongly believes in the idea that music is something that should be for and shared by everyone. Some of the more notable individuals with whom Lucas has worked are Hans Jorgen Jensen, Thomas Landschoot, and Si-Yan Darren Li.

In his free time, Lucas enjoys mountain biking and hiking with his friends and family, as well as keeping up on the latest episodes of the Great British Baking Show. Lucas welcomes students of all levels from beginners through advanced.
